Hypercar Finance is the independent credit broker referenced throughout. We arrange Porsche finance through specialist lenders. We are not Porsche Financial Services (the OEM finance arm operated by Porsche Financial Services UK); we are not the dealer; we are the broker between the buyer and the lender panel.

Step one: identify the Porsche and confirm availability
Porsche AG, headquartered in Zuffenhausen, Stuttgart, produces seven model lines that we routinely finance. For current production (911 in all variants, 718 Cayman GT4 RS, Cayenne and Cayenne Coupe, Macan and Macan Electric, Panamera, Taycan), the dealer network confirms availability. For limited-production and historic Porsche (918 Spyder, Carrera GT, 959, 911 R, 911 Sport Classic, Cayenne Turbo GT), availability is on the specialist secondary market.
Classic Porsche (911 Air-cooled 964 / 993, 996 / 997 GT3, 928, 944 Turbo, 968) is increasingly an appreciating asset class and we routinely finance and refinance against this segment.

Step two: choose the right finance product for the Porsche
| Structure | Monthly cost | Balloon | Position at the end | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hire Purchase | Highest | None | Outright ownership at the end | Buyers who want a clean unencumbered position, including a 911 Turbo S held long term |
| Lease Purchase | Lower | Agreed sum deferred to the end of the term | Yours once the balloon is settled | Collector Porsche and current 911, Cayenne and Taycan buyers preserving cash flow |
| Personal Contract Purchase | Lower | Guaranteed Minimum Future Value fixed at the outset | Settle the GMFV, part-exchange, or hand the car back | Current 911, Cayenne, Macan and Taycan, where lender residual confidence is highest |
| Equity Release | Set by the sum released | Structured per deal | You already own the car | Carrera GT, 918 Spyder and rare air-cooled 911 |
Porsche is one of the few marques in this market where Personal Contract Purchase is genuinely straightforward: the volume across the current range gives lenders enough comparable data to fix a Guaranteed Minimum Future Value and carry the residual risk themselves.
Porsche finance is most commonly structured as one of four credit agreements: Hire Purchase, Lease Purchase, Personal Contract Purchase, or Equity Release against a Porsche the buyer already owns.
Hire Purchase is the cleanest structure if you want outright ownership at the end with no balloon. Lease Purchase keeps the monthly payment lower than HP by deferring an agreed amount to a final balloon, and is the dominant structure on collector Porsche and current 911, Cayenne, and Taycan buyers because it preserves cash flow and gives optionality at the end. Personal Contract Purchase is similar to Lease Purchase but with a Guaranteed Minimum Future Value set at the outset; PCP works well on current-model 911, Cayenne, Macan, and Taycan where the lender is confident in the residual.
Equity Release is a refinancing arrangement against a Porsche you already own, releasing the difference between current market value and outstanding finance. Most useful on Carrera GT, 918 Spyder, and rare air-cooled 911 (993 Turbo S, 964 Carrera RS, 911 GT1 Strassenversion) where the asset has appreciated.
Step three: Porsche Financial Services vs specialist credit broker
Porsche Financial Services UK is the OEM finance arm. It offers captive finance product alongside the dealer, typically structured as regulated PCP or Hire Purchase for current-model cars. It is a strong product for £20,000 to £50,000 retail credit deals on used 718 Cayman / Boxster, used Macan, and entry-level used 911.
On the Porsche deals we see where the asset is a current-model 911 GT3 RS, 911 Turbo S, Cayenne Turbo GT, Taycan Turbo S, Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, or any classic / limited-build Porsche (Carrera GT, 918 Spyder, 911 Sport Classic, 911 R, classic air-cooled 911), the specialist broker route routinely produces a sharper structure because we work with lenders comfortable with Porsche asset complexity and the appreciating classic Porsche market.
Step four: the application and underwriting process
The application runs through us as credit broker. We collect a short summary of the buyer (limited company structure if relevant, demonstrated income or asset profile, intended use, deposit available), the deal (dealer or specialist invoice or asking price, deposit, term, structure), and the vehicle (specification, mileage, history, options, condition for classics).
The commercial lender underwrites against the asset, the buyer, and the deal structure. Decisioning is typically days. For classic and limited-build Porsche, the underwriting includes provenance review (Porsche Certificate of Authenticity for classics, full service history for performance models). Final terms are issued, the agreement is signed, and the funds are sent direct to the dealer or specialist at handover.

Common mistakes when financing a Porsche
Three mistakes recur. The first is reaching for a specialist broker on a small retail deal; the OEM Porsche Financial Services product or the dealer's regulated retail credit partner is the right route for that segment. The second is overlooking the classic Porsche refinance opportunity: an owned air-cooled 993 Turbo or a 996 GT3 has often appreciated significantly, and Equity Release can release substantial liquidity without selling.
The third is treating a 911 GT3 RS allocation purely as a residual play. Porsche allocation for GT3 RS, GT3 with Weissach Package, and the Sport Classic / S/T limited builds works through Porsche AG, and the buyer's dealer relationship matters; the finance side runs in parallel and should not delay the dealer decision.
Frequently asked questions
- What is the best way to finance a new Porsche?
- On the least expensive new Porsche the OEM Porsche Financial Services product or your dealer's retail credit partner is often the cleanest route. For new Porsche (911 GT3, 911 Turbo S, Cayenne Turbo GT, Taycan Turbo S, Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, GT3 RS), the specialist broker route through specialist lenders routinely produces a sharper structure.
- Can you buy a Porsche on finance?
- Yes, on either route. Porsche Financial Services is the OEM captive finance product. Independent specialist credit brokers such as Hypercar Finance arrange finance via specialist lenders for deals of this size.
- What is the 50 percent rule for car finance?
- The 50 percent rule, formally voluntary termination under the Consumer Credit Act, applies only to regulated consumer credit agreements. Porsche finance arranged via Porsche Financial Services may carry voluntary termination rights depending on the product; specialist commercial Porsche finance arranged through us is unregulated commercial finance, so the 50 percent right does not apply.
