Hypercar Finance is the independent credit broker referenced throughout. We arrange Bugatti finance through specialist lenders at deal sizes typically £1.5 million and above. We are not Bugatti, we are not the UK dealer (Bugatti London at HR Owen); we are the broker between the buyer and the lender panel.

Step one: identify the Bugatti and confirm allocation or availability
Bugatti Automobiles, headquartered at Château Saint Jean in Molsheim, Alsace, France (now part of the Bugatti Rimac group), produces the Tourbillon as its current model. Allocation on the Tourbillon (250 cars planned, deliveries from 2026, around £3.6 million list) sits with Bugatti and is communicated through Bugatti London at HR Owen and the international Bugatti dealer network.
For the run-out Chiron in all variants (Chiron, Chiron Sport, Chiron Pur Sport, Chiron Super Sport, Chiron Super Sport 300+, Chiron Profilée), the W16 Mistral (99 cars), the Divo (40 cars), the Centodieci (10 cars), and the La Voiture Noire (one-off), availability is exclusively secondary market through Bugatti specialists, auction houses (Bonhams, RM Sotheby's), and private treaty.

Step two: choose the right finance product for the Bugatti
| Structure | Monthly cost | Balloon | Position at the end | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hire Purchase | Highest | None | Unencumbered ownership at the end of the term | Principals who want certainty, including new Tourbillon allocations |
| Lease Purchase | Lower | Agreed sum deferred to the end of the term | Yours once the balloon is settled | Chiron variants, where the car has held and often grown value |
| Equity Release | Set by the sum released | Structured per deal | You already own the car | Centodieci, La Voiture Noire, Divo, Veyron Super Sport and Chiron Profilée |
Personal Contract Purchase is not used at this deal size. No commercial lender will set a Guaranteed Minimum Future Value on a £3 million-plus low-volume hypercar, so the residual position stays with you on every Bugatti structure above.
Bugatti finance is most commonly structured as one of three credit agreements: Hire Purchase, Lease Purchase, or Equity Release against a Bugatti the buyer already owns. Personal Contract Purchase is not used at this deal size because no commercial lender will set a Guaranteed Minimum Future Value on a £3 million-plus low-volume hypercar.
Hire Purchase is the cleanest structure for principals who want certainty and an unencumbered position at the end of the term. Lease Purchase keeps the monthly outlay lower than Hire Purchase by deferring an agreed amount to a final balloon payment, pegged to the asset's projected value at the end of the term. This is the most common structure we arrange on Chiron variants because the Chiron has historically held and in many cases grown value, supporting a meaningful balloon at 36 and 48-month terms.
Equity Release is the most heavily used structure on Centodieci, La Voiture Noire, Divo, Veyron Super Sport, and Chiron Profilée commissions where the asset has materially outrun the original purchase price.
Step three: eligibility and credit broker selection for Bugatti finance
Eligibility for Bugatti finance is genuinely restrictive: the buyer must demonstrate the asset and income profile to support a £1.5 million-plus unregulated commercial credit agreement. This typically means principals of family offices, UHNW individuals with audited asset positions, or company directors with substantial commercial-finance history.
The credit broker selection matters more for Bugatti than for any other marque, because the lender panel that can fund Bugatti deals is small (perhaps six or seven specialist asset financiers globally) and the lender needs genuine asset and provenance expertise. A mainstream broker working with retail-credit lenders cannot arrange Bugatti finance; the OEM has no captive finance product for Bugatti. The specialist broker route is effectively the only finance route for Bugatti.
Step four: the application and underwriting process
The application runs through us as credit broker. For new Tourbillon allocations, we typically pre-structure the finance before allocation confirms because the milestone payment schedule (Bugatti requires milestone payments through the build process) needs to align with the credit agreement structure.
For secondary-market Chiron, Mistral, Divo, Centodieci, and Veyron deals, the application includes specific vehicle and provenance documentation: Bugatti certificate of authenticity, full Bugatti service history, mileage verification, body-and-paint condition report. The commercial lender underwrites against the asset, the buyer, and the deal structure. Decisioning is typically a week to two weeks (longer than other marques) because the underwriting work is more substantial. Final terms are issued, the agreement is signed, and funds flow either to the Bugatti programme (for new) or to the specialist or auction house (for secondary market).
Indicative monthly payments by Bugatti model
Bugatti Chiron Super Sport at £2.5 million, 30 percent deposit (£750,000) over 36 months on Lease Purchase with a 65 percent balloon (£1.625 million) at 8.9 percent: around £16,000 per month. Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport at £2.8 million, 30 percent deposit over 48 months on Hire Purchase: around £48,700 per month. Bugatti Veyron Super Sport at £3 million secondary market, 35 percent deposit on Lease Purchase over 36 months with a 60 percent balloon: around £18,100 per month. Bugatti Divo at £4.5 million secondary market, 35 percent deposit on Lease Purchase over 36 months with a 65 percent balloon: around £21,700 per month. Bugatti Centodieci at £8 million secondary market, 40 percent deposit on Lease Purchase over 36 months with a 70 percent balloon: around £16,150 per month. Bugatti Tourbillon at £3.6 million (new allocation), 35 percent deposit on Hire Purchase over 48 months: around £58,100 per month.
| Vehicle | Structure | Price | Deposit | Term | Balloon | Rate | Monthly |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bugatti Chiron Super Sport | Lease Purchase | £2,500,000 | £750,000 (30%) | 36 months | £1,625,000 (65%) | 8.9% | £16,021 |
| Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport | Hire Purchase | £2,800,000 | £840,000 (30%) | 48 months | None | 8.9% | £48,682 |
| Bugatti Veyron Super Sport | Lease Purchase | £3,000,000 | £1,050,000 (35%) | 36 months | £1,800,000 (60%) | 8.9% | £18,113 |
| Bugatti Divo | Lease Purchase | £4,500,000 | £1,575,000 (35%) | 36 months | £2,925,000 (65%) | 8.9% | £21,694 |
| Bugatti Centodieci | Lease Purchase | £8,000,000 | £3,200,000 (40%) | 36 months | £5,600,000 (70%) | 8.9% | £16,131 |
| Bugatti Tourbillon | Hire Purchase | £3,600,000 | £1,260,000 (35%) | 48 months | None | 8.9% | £58,120 |
The Veyron Super Sport, Divo and Centodieci are secondary-market figures; the Tourbillon is a new allocation. The two Hire Purchase rows carry no balloon, which is why the monthly figures sit far above the Lease Purchase rows on similar prices. Indicative only and subject to underwriting.
Common mistakes when financing a Bugatti
Three mistakes recur. The first is approaching Bugatti finance through a mainstream broker or expecting the OEM dealer to arrange retail credit. Neither route works; the deal size and asset complexity place every Bugatti deal in the specialist commercial finance segment. The second is underestimating the milestone payment alignment requirement on a new Tourbillon allocation. Bugatti's build programme requires staged payments through chassis construction, paint, and final assembly; the credit agreement must accommodate this rather than treat the deal as a single drawdown at handover.
The third is overlooking provenance review on a secondary-market Chiron or Veyron. The commercial lender's underwriting depends on the Bugatti certificate of authenticity, the service history, the chassis numbering, and the body-and-paint condition; a deal without complete provenance documentation may not complete, regardless of the buyer's asset position.
